Gull-Wings
I honestly think that Lambo doors are over done. And i am not a big fan of the suicide door kits. Although i did see a gull-wing kit on lambodoors.com
Does anyone know anything about these kits? Like if they are reliable? I would also like a second opinion on how they would look on a 2g.

I'd be interested to see how someone pulls it off on a 2g, as the tops of the doors don't have any metal.
Regardless, the doors open just fine how they are. It's a waste of money in my opinon.

They are not DMC style gull-wings.
The doors kind lift forward and sideways.
Think lambo's that roll forward as well.

Make them fold downwards so use can use them as ramps, too. Waste of money IMO

How custom is this car going to be? Most people will think you are stupid if this is for a daily driver. On a show car? that's a whole nother story. I think it would look good, reliable.....depends on installation.

While I have to agree even lambos are a waste of money . I am still going to lambo mine .The way I see it it's my money ,my car , my choice . Plus I am doing it to draw attention to my car while I will be showing it . Plus my doors will be 75 degree doors rather than some of them that you have to crawl under to get into the car.

For the $1000 it's going to cost.....there are plenty of other ways to make your car more noticeable. You could almost do air ride for that.....in fact you could if you installed it yourself

I would estimate $3000+. You would have to probably get some custom doors made up and then modify/beef up the roof somehow. Go buy a Delorean if you want Gullwing doors.

No he's just talking about door that swing up and out from the regular hinge spot.
They are right here
Chaser Aerodynamics
The hinges are $800 and I'm a DIY kinda guy so I didn't even add labor.
Also it would be the same with air ride. Parts are about $800 if you know how to do it and about $3000 if you have someone else do it.

Hate to tell ya chief, but those are NOT gullwings. Those are butterfly doors. Same as Lambo doors, except they have a swivel built into the hinge. You will also have to get modified front fenders. Gullwings raise up Delorean style.
