Tint Help

I guess this would go in this section?

Anyways, I've been putting it off for awhile. But once I get my exhaust issue fixed I'll be getting my windows tinted. Louisiana laws says I can have a banner to the little line on the front glass (i forget what it's called), 40% on the sides, 25% on the rear sides, and 12% on the backglass. I'm thinking that combination would look goofy on my car. Any suggestions on a good combo? Also can you guys post up some pics so I can get an idea of how dark each one of these is?

As far as tint shades go, i have never heard of 40% or 25% or 12%.

I have 35% on front 2 windows, and 20% on rear windows.

The usual tine shade here is 35%,(legal), 20%(which is considered limo), and 5%,(also limo)

Here in KY 35% is the only legal shade a person is suppose to use. So i put 35% on my sides and front. But i went down 12" on the front window, i think law is only 6". Screw the law

And went 20% on all others.

Well I have 20% on the sides with a sun shield that goes down about 8 or 9", but went 5% on the rear glass and it looks hott.

I'm not a pro at tint specs. I'm just going by the tint laws I found online. I'm sure if I went with 35% all the way around I'd be happy with it. But I tend to get to much attention with my pipe when I'm in the city. They started about a 1/2 year ago with busting everyones balls on tinted windows and exhaust mods. Since then I've tried to stay low key, but it's hard to do with the crackly rasp that I've got now (soon to be fixed BTW). Can someone please post up pics of their 2G with one of these tint levels so I can get an idea of what I'm working with.

I've got 20% all the way around. I live in GA so the laws are 35% all around on sedans/coupes but the cops don't really bother you if you have 20%, only if you have 5%. 20% is a great median tint shade.

Look at my vPicGallery for pics.

Legal? How do you know what legal is in his state? It may be 50% Thats what it is here in MN, but in ND its 35% I believe. And in FL, there is no limit.

OP; When it comes to tinting, go with whatever the legal limit is. Its not worth spending the time/money, and then getting pulled over because its "too dark" and then recieving a ticket that you could have avoided. IMO its best to go with the legal limit, ant then your car will look sharp and stay legal.

I wish someone would post up a pic of their car with a good combo tint wise that would pass legally here (Louisiana). I don't guess their is really that much of a difference between 35% and 40%. I just don't want my car to look goofy because it goes from a light tint, to dark, and then to pitch black. That's all.
