Shouldent be to hard to do. I guess it depends on how mechanically inclined you. A shop's prob going to charge a arm an a leg though. Just get a manual, a nice weekend, and go at it in my opinion.

It's more like, are you lego-ally inclined. Really, all there is to a body kit is prefitment, and possibly some urethane adhesive, depending on the type of side skirt you get. It's really not that hard. You should get the kit and do it yourself and post a thread and pix and questions as you go, if you like doing that type of thing, and I'm sure you'll get all the help you need.

what do you mean like "prefitment". Does that mean i will have to like sand it down to make it fit?

Don't cheap out on a kit. Fitment will be very poor and you will have to do a lot of work to make it look decent if you do.

It's basically trial and error. Try it yourself and if it works you were able to save extra money. If not then make a few calls and visits to get some estimates, but I would try first if you are willing to.

90% of body shops won't install it for less than $400, and it's not really hard. Take the old bumpers off, clean the area where they were connected, don't buy a cheap "universal" kit, because that means you have to drill the holes where the screws go through. It's really like putting lego's together, though. If you're not very good at anything mechanical, I say take it to a shop. Just be prepared to pay.

Did anyone say the 2gb OEM Body is better than any kit you can buy yet?

Prefitment meaning, you'll have to align the kit properly, drill about 90-95% of the required holes necessary to bolt it to the body BEFORE you paint it. 99% of bumpers for eclipses come pre-drilled ONLY on the nose section of the bumper, but keep in mind you may have to customize those holes too. So when you bolt it up at the nose, now you can start lining it up at the ends and mark where to drill holes, possibly sand some edges... and say for instance you have vents on the bumper. 99% of the time you're gonna have to either take some sand paper and/or a rotary tool to even out the edges, bcuz it more than likely WON'T have clean edges. You also may have to cut things off to fit, for instance, on my bumper, I had to not only cut and bring the back of the bottom mouth portion forward(bcuz of my intercooler), but I had to cut out the middle of the wall that seperated my fog lights and vents bcuz of the ic piping. This is what I mean by prefitment... you have to make it fit like a stock bumper and make the necessary adjustments to it before you paint it.
+1 on professional installation running between $400-$600.
