Radio Wiring Diagram

I recently bought a 95 Eclipse GS and I want to replace the stock radio. Will I need to get 2 wiring harnesses (1 for the head unit, 1 for the car) to get the new radio to work or can I find a radio wiring diagram for a 2G Eclipse online somewhere?

Whatever you do, dont just hack off the factory harness. You will regret it.

I know harnesses make life so much easier but I checked walmart and they didn't have the harness for my cd receiver. So I decided to chop off the factory harness and find out the wiring myself and I almost did regret it. I first found the battery and acc wires by using a 12V tester. Then I checked all the speaker wires using a AA battery putting one end of a wire on the (+) and another wire on the (-) side of the battery. Whenever I heard noise from the speaker, I knew I had found the right combo. There were two extra wires though, no idea what they are for. After I found all the speaker wire combos, I connected the wires to the new receiver and tried it out....no sound! Don't you hate it when you think you did everything right and something still goes wrong? For a while I was scratching my head and wondering what I did wrong and yeah, I started regretting cutting off the factory harness (especially because I cut the wires so short on the harness side that I can never attach the harness back to the wires again). However, my father came over and checked out the wiring and noticed I had mixed up one of the speaker wire combos. As soon as he fixed that there was sound and it all worked out!

that is b/c you don't buy em for the reciever... you buy em for the car and wire em TO the reciever.

the two extra wires were probably for the amp.
